This work is painted on silk and biros. A large crack is depicted in a delicate and soft style. Many people who have experienced a wound inside may forget about that specific wound and continue to live their lives normally. But these injuries remain forever in the subconscious mind like a scabbed and growing scar. This scar is like a huge crack that makes the person more vulnerable to break down when faced with the same situation. The aim of this crack project is to heal the human heart, and in painting it I am also healing myself.

During the exhibition, the wind outside the window will continue to blow the painting back and forth gently. The paintings will rustle because of the breeze, which is a very natural sound. The sunlight filtering through the silk fabric makes the cracks in the paintings look more crystal clear as if they are growing on the skin. The hanging cracks are like our bodies trapped in mid-air, with no room to struggle, not even a place to rest behind. It is left to the breeze to blow at will. The whole process of watching, including the visual and sound, is a self-healing process.

This project is still a work in progress. It is on display as a two-metre painting. As the project continues there will be a ten metre long fissure. As a result of this exhibition I was inspired to put this silk painting in a specific natural environment. I would like to complete the painting slowly in these environments and record the process as a performance.
